Learn to Use the Right Lures for Trout Fishing
The vast and deep waters of oceans and lakes as well as those in rivers and streams continue to pose unlimited challenges and excitement for sport fishing enthusiasts, particularly those heavily involved in trout fishing. That is why you need to make sure you have the correct trout fishing lures before you attempt to fish for that elusive trout.
Finding trout in oceans and lakes is very hard to do, unlike when you hunt for trout in rivers and streams where waters are a lot calmer and shallower. Expert anglers will readily tell you that one has to know where to find the kind of fish you are looking for in order to find satisfaction in the sport. In other words, go to the areas where you know you can find the trout!
But finding where the trout is hiding is only a small part of the skill set you are required to possess. Knowing where the fish is hiding is actually the easier part of the task. Catching them is an entirely different story. One has to be very creative, persistent and determined in order to catch your penultimate prize. And one very important and crucial element in catching trout is your choice of the appropriate lure.
There are many types of lures that sport fishing enthusiasts are using. One of the most favorite lures is something called “cleo”. Many anglers use it for its similarity to a spoon and its inherent feature that easily mimics a baitfish. The choice of the right lure is not however cast in stone. One has to experience and use various types to be able to determine what suits you and any given circumstance.
Knowing where the trout is and using the appropriate lure will put you nearer to catching the elusive trout. One very important thing to remember though is that your trout fish rarely stays in one place. It is always moving and you have to be very creative in identifying the spots in the river where they will go next or where you can easily find them. Some of the places that you might want to check are deep holes.
Rapids which are a bit deeper are also a good place to look for trout. It is in these areas that trout can stay for a long period of time, making it easier to catch them. Other areas in the river where you can easily find trout are those with slow moving barriers. A good example of this type of area is the presence of rocks that block the current of water. These locations have proved to be favorite resting places of trout on the move.
The use of appropriate lure is as important as identifying the places where trout can be found. Your failure to use the right lure could prove disastrous since it will never attract or entice the trout. This is where your creativity and persistence come in. Chose the right lure and continue to experience the excitement of hunting down trout. These are some lures which you might want to consider in trout fishing:
